Today, logistics companies need to digitize their business to maintain a competitive edge in the market. Advanced technologies are constantly changing industry standards, which requires business managers to adapt to innovation. Managers who adapt to modern technologies not only make their companies more competitive but also help improve other key indicators. Automated processes help reduce errors, improve productivity, control costs and even increase profits.
To show the importance of digitization in logistics and to educate managers about advanced technologies, the event “Opportunities of Digital Technologies in the Logistics Sector” was organized on 23 February 2023 in Klaipėda at the Lighthouse co-working space.
The event started with a presentation of the Lighthouse Digital Innovation Centre and the availability of EU support for digitization services. This was followed by a presentation on how to get started with digitization in the logistics sector. Participants learned about the steps to a successful digitization project – how to choose an implementation partner, choose a technology, and set up a technical project. The event also showcased advanced digital technologies in the logistics sector. Participants had the opportunity to see demos of these technologies. The co-founder of Terminality also presented his experience in digitization and shared his helpful tips.
The formal part of the event concluded with an inspiring quote from Steve Jobs: “Learn continually – there’s always “one more thing” to learn!” Continuous improvement, and keeping pace with technology is the key to success. After the formal part, participants were invited to network over a cup of coffee.
We share the moments of the event below and say see you next time!
